First job was to find an English speaking doctor. Failing that Robyn had to fall back on her acting skills. When pointing out that her snot was vibrant green (using her shoes to indicate the colour) the doctor wanted to examine her foot. Despite this, medicine was prescribed and acquired and all was eventually well.
Casablanca didn’t hold too many attractions as it is a business centre rather than cultural. The Hassan II Mosque is impressive in its bloated grandeur, but one can’t help think of many better uses for the billion dollars spent on this monument to the former King.
The 200m tall minaret
Meeting up with the Rihani family (relatives of Robyn’s) was a definite highlight. They were incredibly welcoming to us and took us out for a lovely seafood meal. Nothing, however, could top the meal we had enjoyed the night before at restaurant Al Mounia.
